Community Living Services(CLS) provides a multitude of services to assist individuals with developmental disabilities as well as those with mental illness with the skills and knowledge to function independently in their communities. CLS professionals assist in developing, teaching, and maintaining life skills with each participant. This improves their quality of life, enhances their self-esteem, develops positive social behaviors, and promotes appropriate community integration. CLS professionals work in conjunction with families, schools, and service coordinators to develop individualized programs.
During the past several years, the CLS program provided center, home, and community based services to individuals residing in the Lewiston, Moscow, and Grangeville. The CLS program offers an enriching school year and a summer program. Children with developmental disabilities who have intense problem behaviors may benifit from Intervention Therapy. OUI also offers crisis services for adults with developmetal disabilities through our Behavioral Consultation services.
